Meet the Confectioners:

Golden aka aerimis: A fan of all things sweet as well as sour, she always adored a wide range of treats, dark chocolates, truffles, and the occasional midnight butter-sugar sandwich. Yet what spurred her internal cookie-monster split personality was an ice box cookie from the local baker's shop of Seattle from an unintelligible age. After that, the sugar reigned... and rained. Sweets were slaughtered, cookies crumbled, and the cake was NOT a lie.

Emily aka Cookie: (her nickname was not dreamt up for this blog, we promise) A twenty-something dreamer who is slightly addicted to coffee, cookies, and Doctor Who, spends her days editing books, tutoring in music and English, and working at a small bookstore in the Austin area.

Amanda aka ‘Mandy’ (please don’t call her that): A health nut with a dislike for most nuts… especially in her cookies, she enjoys making anything from simple creations such as the classic brownie to more intricate delicacies such as fondant covered cake, but finds she is most culinarily (is that a word?) inspired in the wee hours of the morning.

Julie aka Soft Hair: Born and raised in the snow-filled fields of Ohio and Michigan, Julie, grew up on peanut butter buckeyes and her mom's chocolate chip oatmeal cookies. In 2011 she was presented with a new challenge thanks to celiac disease--gluten free baking! Julie is your guide to all things sweet and scrumptious—without the wheat!
